Rescue programs are nationally recognized as a valuable tool for increasing positive outcomes for shelter animals. Transfer of animals to other reputable organizations can help reduce overcrowding in the shelter and provide positive alternatives for some of the shelter's most vulnerable residents. MCASAC works with a variety of outside organizations such as private rescue groups (breed specific and all breed), sanctuaries, other shelters, and veterinary practices with in office adoption programs.
We are always looking to expand our rescue network so that every animal that comes through our doors has an opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We work primarily with 501(c)(3) rescue groups, but exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
