MacArthur Boulevard Bikeway & Pedestrian Safety Improvements
(Old Angler Inn to Falls Road)

Project Description

The project provides for the Facility Planning study to develop conceptual alternatives for a shared use path on MacArthur Blvd between Old Anglers Inn and Falls Road. This project also includes evaluating existing bicycle and pedestrian facilities and connections, analyzing existing traffic patterns and data, and conducting impact analysis based on the proposed alternatives.


MCDOT is holding a Hybrid Public Meeting!

A hybrid public information meeting (online and in-person) will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to present the project scope, costs, and schedule, gather resident input on the proposed design, and address questions. Please register in advance by visiting the “Participate” tab of this project website.

Join Us at the Hybrid Public Meeting!

A hybrid public meeting for the project will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, from 7:30 to 8:30p.m. in the All-Purpose Room of Potomac Elementary School, located at 10311 River Road in Potomac. MCDOT will present the project details, obtain resident comments, and answer questions.

Registration is required to attend the meeting virtually. Please use the online registration form (click here) to register. Upon registering, the Zoom platform will send you an email with the link needed to join the meeting. We look forward to your participation.
