Montgomery County is one of the most diverse communities in the nation. For 75 years, Montgomery County Public Libraries has been a place where everyone belongs, and that includes being a library system that reflects who we are today – multilingual, multicultural, and multigenerational. Since 1986, MCPL has purchased adult and children's books and periodicals in certain world languages to serve the county's diverse population. We are excited to provide you with a World Language collection that now includes 10 different languages, and continue our work in building spaces where ideas flourish, diverse voices are amplified, and community thrives.
