Police Cadet
Purpose
The Cadet Program has been established to provide qualified individuals, who are interested in becoming a Police Officer with the Montgomery County Department of Police, first-hand experience in law enforcement.
Description
Cadets will work 20 hours per week and be assigned (2) unit rotations per year. This will provide the Cadet with an opportunity to learn about the Department and gain on- the- job training. Cadets participating in the program receive a salary of $26.03 per hour. Cadets will receive leave benefits; to include paid holiday leave, as well as helathcare benefits.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- US Citizen
Program Requirements
Cadets must be enrolled in a College Curriculum Full Time and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Cadets will work 20 hours per week from with flexible hours to accomodate class schedule.
