MCEO NO  172-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Bethesda.  Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Rescind all parking regulations including but not limited to the following traffic orders: 86-97 on both sides of "Old "Old Georgetown Road from Montrose. MCEO NO. 174-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Wheaton/Glenmont.  Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated location.  Install No Parking Any Time on the south side of Plyers Mill Road from Georgia Avenue to Amherst Avenue (a distance of 275 feet).  Effective Date:  8/24/09

 

MCEO NO. 175-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Wheaton/Glenmont. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated location.  Install Stop on northbound Foley Street at Delano Street.  Effective Date:  8/21/09

 

MCEO NO. 176-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Germantown.  Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove No Stopping Any Time on both sides of Royal Carriage Drive from Royal Crown Drive to 60' west of Royal Crown Drive.  Remove No Stopping School Days 8AM - 4PM on the north side of Royal Carriage Drive from 60' west of Royal Crown Drive to Royal Crown Drive.  Install No Stopping Any Time on the north side of Royal Carriage Drive from Royal Crown Drive to 60' west of Royal Crown Drive and on the south side of Royal Carriage Drive from 60' west of Royal Crown Drive to Royal Crown Drive.  Install No Stopping School Days 8AM - 4PM on the north side of Royal Carriage Drive from 60' west of Royal Crown Drive to 30' east of the William B. MCEO NO. 177-09:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this Fire Lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: Holy Cross Hospital, 1500 Forest Glen Road.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart than 100 feet.  Effective Date:  4/24/09

 

MCEO NO. 178-09:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this Fire Lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: Germantown Estates, Property abutting Clopper Road between Liberty Mill Road and Germantown Road, near Clopper/Germantown Road intersection.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart than 100 feet.  Effective Date:  6/29/09

 

MCEO NO. 179-09:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this Fire Lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: Burtonsville Town Square, 15600 - 15664 Old Columbia Pike.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no further apart than 100 feet.  Effective Date:  8/03/09

 

MCEO NO. 183-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - McComas Avenue Proposed Sidewalk (CIP #506747).  The County Executive finds that public interest requires the construction of a sidewalk to provide safe pedestrian travel along the south side of McComas Avenue from Drumm Avenue to Farragut Avenue, in Kensington, Maryland within the 13th Election District.  The sidewalk will be five feet (5') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 1,600 linear feet.  McComas Avenue is classified as a residential roadway and has a 50 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 18 feet wide.  There is approximately 18 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of McComas Avenue.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  A public hearing was conducted on the project at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, the Hearing Examiner recommended approval of the project.  Total cost of the project, including engineering, site improvements and construction is $155,254.00.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $155,254.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  8/27/09

Silver Spring on the south side of Sligo Avenue between Woodbury Drive and Chicago Avenue.  Install No Parking Any Time on the south side of Sligo Avenue from Woodbury Drive to 90 feet east of Woodbury Drive and on the south side of Sligo Avenue from 85 feet west of Chicago Avenue to Chicago Avenue.  Install Permit Parking Only East Silver Spring on the south side of Sligo Avenue from 90 feet east of Woodbury Drive to 85 feet west of Chicago Avenue.  Effective Date:  9/02/09

MCEO NO. 189-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Bethesda.  Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated location.  Install No Parking Any Time on the north side of the Aberdeen Place spur to the 5702 Aberdeen Place property to 100 feet south of Huntington Parkway.  Effective Date:  9/08/09

 

MCEO NO. 194-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Acceptance of Option Contract with BVS Montrose, LLC Nebel Street Extended, CIP No. 500401.  The Option Contract between BVS Montrose, LLC and Montgomery County, Maryland for the purchase of the property rights required for the above-referenced project is accepted.  Contract obtained in the amount of $1,994,988.00.  The County Attorney is hereby directed to take all necessary steps to acquire the property rights, including any improvements located within the area to be acquired.  Effective Date:  9/22/09

 

MCEO NO. 198-09:  DEPARTMENT OF PERMITTING SERVICES - Street Acceptance of Roads for Maintenance MCDPS Permits No. 231653 and 236462.  Certifies that construction of the following named streets have been completed in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Montgomery County Road Construction Code as specified in the above-captioned permit.  The materials used in the construction of these streets were tested and found to be in compliance with County specifications:  Meadowsweet Court, Meadowsweet Drive, and Wiley Court.  Effective Date:  9/23/09

 

MCEO NO. 199-09:  DEPARTMENT OF PERMITTING SERVICES - Street Acceptance of Roads for Maintenance MCDPS Permits Nos. 208581, 213102, 213399, 228864, 229613, 23454, 244145, 246178.  Certifies that construction of the following named streets has been completed in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Montgomery County Road Construction Code as specified in the above-captioned permit.  The materials used in the construction of these streets were tested and found to be in compliance with County specifications.  Leaman Farm Road (North Bound Lane), Clarks Crossing Drive, Brightwell Drive, Murphy Grove, Clarksmead Drive, Sugar View Drive, Brightwell Drive, Moneyworth Way, Sugar View Drive, Little Seneca Parkway, Highland Manor Court, Cypress Spring Road, Sycamore Farm Drive, Pond Pine Drive, Magnolia Park Place, Sassafras Way, Thompson Hill Court, and Rowland Lane.  Effective Date:  9/23/09
