Planning

The Planning team plans, initiates and analyzes innovation programs. This programming introduces pilot programs such as Smart Meters, Street Sensors, License Plate Recognition, Parking Guidance Systems, Car Counting systems and other technologies to guide automotive traffic to a destination within the County.  The team provides a recommendations based on the performance of the pilot, the information gathered and the capital outlay. 

The planning team also manages the Parking Bluebook database which provides updated rate and facility information to third party vendors for garages and lots in Montgomery County's parking lot districts. As part of their efforts, they also generate work orders for signs within the PLDs.
