Reactivating Division of Parking Management
Division of Parking Management is supporting the recovery efforts by partnering with the Urban Districts and businesses by providing curbside pickup zones.
Attendant services have included social distancing and adding queuing markers at stations and in offices. The attendants and janitorial staff wear PPE during all public facing hours of operations including face shields when appropriate. In addition to the cleaning contractor’s up-scheduled wipe downs, the janitorial staff and garage attendants are cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas (e.g. pay stations, elevators, hand rails, etc.) more frequently. In Garages 11, 60 and 61 ticket dispensers at the gated entries now eject a ticket automatically when a vehicle has been detected therefore eliminating the need for customers to press an activation button. Sales office staff have a physical barrier between the customers and modified their schedule to reduce chances of exposure.

Montgomery County Parking Management’s janitorial contractor has been actively performing routine cleaning and hazardous waste cleaning and disinfection multiple times a day at Montgomery County facilities in Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Wheaton locations.
Staff wear masks, gloves and are taking CDC precautions to keep themselves and public safe.
