The Public Technology Institute (PTI) has honored Montgomery County with a 2013-2014 Technology Solutions award.
PTI has honored Montgomery County with a 2013-2014 Technology Solutions Award for its “Bikeshare Station Site Identification and Property Verification” program. This program was recognized as a winner in the Energy/Environment Technology award category. For the second consecutive year, Montgomery was the only County in the State of Maryland - and the only jurisdiction in the Washington DC metropolitan area - to be recognized as an award winner by PTI in its annual technology solutions awards competition. The Enterprise Cloud Security Service and Architecture Project was named a Finalist in the 2012 ISE® North America Awards in the Government Project category. The award was presented at the ISE® North America Leadership Summit and Awards 2012 event held on November 7, 2012 in Alexandria, Va. Montgomery County was the only state or local government entity to make the final round in the Government Project category.

2004 - Top-10 Digital County Governments Winner! Montgomery County Government was named by the Center for Digital Government and National Association of Counties (NACo) as a winner of their 2004 Digital Counties Survey, a national survey sponsored by SAP, a proud supporter of all local governments in the United States. In April, all counties in the United States were invited to participate in the survey, which consisted of 17 questions that focused on how county governments are applying information technology to effectively deliver services to their citizens. The survey grouped counties into four population categories: 500,000 or more, 250,000-499,999, 150,000-249,999 and less than 150,000.
2003 Top Pick! For the second year in a row, MuniNetGuide.com designated the Montgomery County Government Web site as a “Top Pick” of 2003. MuniNetGuide.com is a leading national web site covering municipal-related content on the Internet.
