Create a Montgomery County Extranet Account

Please follow the steps below to create a Montgomery County Extranet Account in order to apply for a job.

  1. Open the Montgomery County Extranet New User Registration Form

    If you have already created a Montgomery County Extranet account, then skip to Step # and enter your account credentials to login.

  2. Complete the New User Registration Form

    Follow the instructions provided on the Form to enter the required information.You must conform to specific requirements when creating your password. Make sure to complete all required fields (Email Address, First Name, Last Name, Telephone Number, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, New Password, Confirmation Password) marked with an asterisk. Click the Create button at the bottom of the Form when done. An email with a security code will be sent to your email address

    If you have already created a Montgomery County Extranet account, then skip to Step #9 and enter your account credentials to login.

  3. Check your email for a security code and enter it in the Form provided

    Copy and paste or type the security code into the Code field provided on the form and select the Enter button.

  4. Read the new user account creation agreement

    Read the account creation agreement and click the Agree checkbox and select the Continue button if you would like to continue with the account creation process or click the Logout button if you would like to discontinue.

  5. The new account will be created. The process may take several minutes to complete.

  6. After the account has been successfully created, you will receive a confirmation email.

    Click the Continue button to set up your security questions and answers.

  7. Select your Security Questions

    Select your Security Questions from the drop down menu and enter your responses in the form fields provided on the Form presented. Click the Save Responses button when done. The security questions are provided in the event that you forget your password. Please make sure to remember the answers as this is critical. Provide answers that are not easy for others to guess. Answers are not case-sensitive.

  8. Verify your security questions and answers

    Verify your answers and click the Confirm Responses button when ready. You may click the Go Back button to update or edit a question or response.

  9. Click the Continue button to Logout

    After you have successfully saved your security questions, then click the Continue button to logout. All account changes/updates are effective immediately. However, it may take up to 15 minutes to update AccessMCG Extranet applications or apps.

    Click Continue button and logout.
  10. After 15 minutes, open the AccessMCG Extranet Sign-in web page

    Use your new account user name and password, then click the Login button to login to the County's Extranet Portal using your new account. A Spanish language option is also available on the Extranet Login page. If you should also forget your password, you may click the Forgot Password? button to reset your password.

  11. The AccessMCG Extranet Portal home page will open.

    Click the Employment image link on the Portal home page.

  12. Activate your account.

    In order to activate your account to apply for jobs, please check the Yes, Please Activate My Account checkbox and select the Click Here to Continue button.

  13. Logout and wait 15 minutes for your account to be activated.

    After the account activation request has been submitted, please select the Logout menu item to logout and allow up to 15 minutes to activate this application for your account.

  14. After 15 minutes, open the AccessMCG Extranet Sign-in web page

    Use your new account user name and password, then click the Login button to login to the County's Extranet Portal using your new account. A Spanish language option is also available on the Extranet Login page. If you should also forget your password, you may click the Forgot Password? button to reset your password.

  15. The AccessMCG Extranet Portal home page will open.

    Click the Employment image link on the Portal home page.

  16. The The iRecruitment home page will open.

    The County's iRecruitment home page will open and will enable you to review notifications, jobs applied for, and appointment information. To search for and apply for jobs, click the Search Jobs tab.
