- CLB will address the needs of returning warriors and veterans who are blind or visually impaired. These individuals are either receiving treatment and/or working at Fort Detrick, Fort Meade, National Naval Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, and Ft. Belvoir’s DeWitt. As part of the O’Malley/Brown Administration’s efforts to fully prepare Maryland for the impact of BRAC, the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation contracted with the Maryland Higher Education Commission to perform a study of higher education institutions in Maryland, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Delaware to determine their preparedness and capacity to meet the demands of BRAC postsecondary education needs facing Maryland. The information obtained through the study will be the basis for planning to meet the higher education needs throughout the State due to BRAC.
