Bradmoor Community Sidewalk Project

Under the Bradmoor Community Sidewalk Project, the installation of 5-foot-wide, ADA-compliant, concrete sidewalks were proposed to residents on the following roadways in Bethesda: 

  • Ewing Drive - east side, from Bradley Boulevard to McKinley Street
  • Folkstone Road - south side, from Ewing Drive to Irvington Avenue
  • Hempstead Avenue - west side, from McKinley Street to Roosevelt Street
  • Hempstead Avenue - east side, from McKinley Street to the existing sidewalk at the intersection with Hartsdale Avenue
  • McKinley Street - south side, from Rayburn Road to Garfield Street

Project Schedule

The Bradmoor Community Sidewalk Proposal was issued on March 29, 2019 and was the subject of a Public Hearing on November 6, 2019. On May 12, 2020 the Hearing Officer’s Recommendations approving the sidewalk installation was signed by Director, Christopher Conklin.  The Bradmoor Community Sidewalk Project is was constructed in October 2020.
