Ramona Bell-Pearson
Assistant Chief Administrative Officer
Ramona Bell-Pearson was named to the position of Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in September 2011. She is one of four such administrators within the County’s management team. She supports and advises the Chief Administrative Officer in areas of land use and development policy. Her portfolio includes contracting, real estate management, development, Contract Review Committee, contract claims, Revenue Authority, administrative hearings as well as Clarksburg, Great Seneca Science Corridor and White Flint development matters.
Ramona Bell-Pearson received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1981 and her Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law in 1987. Ms. Bell-Pearson is barred to practice law in the State of Maryland and worked for 18 years in the Montgomery County Office of the County Attorney. There she represented the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Police, Montgomery County Public Schools and the Office of Human Resources in litigation and general counsel matters. She also handled real estate transactions, commercial leasing, and zoning issues before the Board of Appeals. Immediately before coming to the Office of the County Executive Ms. Bell-Pearson served as a Senior Manager in the Department of Health and Human Services managing the Policy and Risk Management Division.
