MCEO NO. 189-10:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this fire lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: Takoma Park Elementary School, 7511 Holly Ave.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart than 100 feet.  Paint must be traffic yellow with line of sufficient width to be readily identifiable/readable by motor vehicle operators.  Effective Date:  8/10/10

MCEO NO. 201-10:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Wheaton/Glenmont. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove One Way for Grenoble Drive between Aspen Hill Road and Parkland Drive so as to make Grenoble Drive one way in a westerly direction.  Remove No Parking Any Time on the east side of Grenoble Drive from 215' north of Parkland Drive to a point 345' north of Parkland Drive.  Remove Stop on Grenoble Drive so as to require northeast bound and southwest bound traffic to stop at Justice Road.  Install One Way on Grenoble Drive in a westerly direction between Aspen Hill Road and Parkland Drive.  Install Stop for northeast bound and southwest bound traffic on Grenoble Drive at Justice Road.  Install No Parking School Days 8:30AM-3:30PM on the east side of Grenoble Drive from 225' north of Parkland Drive (southern intersection) to 340' north of Parkland Drive (southern intersection)  Effective Date:  9/09/10

 

MCEO NO. 202-10:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Bethesda. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove Do Not Enter 6:30-9:00 AM Monday - Friday Except Buses on south bound Seven Locks Road at Bradley Boulevard (MD 191) and on south bound Holly Oak Drive at Bradley Boulevard (MD 191).  Remove Do Not Enter 3:30-6:30 PM Monday - Friday Except Buses on north bound Seven Locks Road at River Road (MD 190).  Remove No Parking Any Time on the west side of Hollyoak Drive from a point 200' south of Bradley Boulevard to a point 700' south of Bradley Boulevard (500').  Install All-Way Stop at the intersection of Hollyoak Drive and Deepwell Drive/Laurel Oak Drive.  Effective Date:  9/13/10

 

MCEO NO. 203-10:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Gaithersburg. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove No Parking Any Time on the southwest side of Fulks Farm Road 50' northwest and southeast of the hiker/biker path northwest of Market Place Circle, (northwest intersection) and on the southwest side of Fulks Farm Road from 205' southeast of Market Place Circle (northwest intersection) to 280' southwest of Market Place Circle (northwest intersection).  Install No Parking Any Time on the west side of Fulks Farm Road from 85 feet south of the extended eastern curb line of Marketree Circle (northern intersection) to 160 feet south of the extended eastern curb line of Marketree Circle (northern intersection).  Effective Date:  9/10/10

Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove No Parking Any Time on the north side of Apple Ridge Road from 200 feet north east of Shadow Oak Drive to 115 feet south west of Shadow Oak Drive and on the north side of Apple Ridge Road from 110 feet east of Torrey Pond Road to 75 feet west of Torrey Pond Road. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Install No Parking Any Time on the northeast side of Veteran's Place from a point 35 feet northwest of Pershing Drive to a point 250 feet northwest of Pershing Drive and on the northeast side of Veteran's Place from a point 250 feet northwest of Pershing Drive to Ellsworth Drive (40 feet).  Install Two-Hour Parking 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Except Sunday on the northeast side of Veteran's Place from a point 35 feet northwest of Pershing Drive to a point 250 feet northwest of Pershing Drive.  Effective Date:  9/16/10

Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Install No Left Turn 6:30-7:30AM 1:30-2:30PM for west bound traffic on Rock Spring Drive at the crossover opposite the middle driveway to Walter Johnson High School.  Install No U-Turn for west bound traffic on Rock Spring Drive at the crossover opposite the middle driveway to Walter Johnson High School.  Effective Date:  9/21/10

 

MCEO NO. 210-10:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Bethesda. Order for traffic control signs directs to install and/or remove the following traffic, and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Install No Turns for east bound traffic at the Fernwood Road crossover (440' east of Rockledge Drive).  Effective Date:  9/16/10

 

MCEO NO. 223-10:  DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES - Disposition of Blunt Road Parcels - Germantown.  The County Attorney is hereby directed to take all steps necessary to dispose of the Blunt Road Parcels by direct negotiation.  The Blunt Road Parcels are described as follows: a) P417 Tax Map FU12, Tax Account # 776014, Containing 1,560 SF b) P418, Tax Map FU12, Tax Account # 778775, Containing 9,910 SF c) P420 Tax Map FU12, Tax Account # 775327, Containing 12,922 SF 3.  Effective Date:  9/29/10

 

MCEO NO. 225-10:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Acceptance of Option Contract with David A. and Margo H. Rosenberg Travilah Road Improvements, CIP Project NO. 500101.  Option Contract between David A. and Margo H. Rosenberg and Montgomery County Maryland for the purchase of land for the above-referenced project is hereby accepted.  Liber/Folio 9815/641, Account No. 06-2721394, Owner, David A. and Margo H. Rosenberg, Fee Simple 72 s.f., Perpetual Easement 300 s.f., Amount $14,500.  The County Executive hereby directs the Department of General Services and the County Attorney to take all steps necessary to acquire land described herein.  Effective Date:  10/11/10

 

MCEO NO. 226-10:  DEPARTMENT OF PERMITTING SERVICES  - Public Hearing - Adoption of the 2009 IBC, IRC, IECC, IMC, IFGC.  Pursuant to Section 8-13 of the Montgomery County Code the Director of the Department of Permitting Services must hold a public hearing when he/she proposes new regulations.  A public hearing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in the Seneca Conference Room located at 255 Rockville Pike 2nd Floor, Rockville, Maryland 20850. Following the adoption of Executive Regulation 26-09AM, a number of significant consequences developed that could only be remedied by going through an additional regulation process.  Effective Date:  10/5/10

 

MCEO NO. 227-10:  DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION ON VETERANS AFFAIRS -Solicitation of Gifts/Donations - authorizes members of the Commission on Veterans Affairs and staff who provide support to the Commission ("authorized employees") to solicit gifts and/or donations for the purpose of recognizing veterans in public displays/exhibits in county buildings and to raise funds related to the acquisition, care, and display of materials in accordance with the requirements established in this Executive Order.  Effective Date:  10/11/10
