MCEO NO. 52-11:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this fire lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location:  Weller Road Elementary School, 3301WellerRd.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart than 100 feet.  Paint must be traffic yellow with line of sufficient width to be readily identifiable/readable by motor vehicle operators.  Effective Date:  2/9/11

 

MCEO NO. 53-11:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this fire lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location:  Kensington Nursing Home, 3000 McComass Ave.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart than 100 feet.  Paint must be traffic yellow with line of sufficient width to be readily identifiable/readable by motor vehicle operators.  Effective Date:  2/7/11

Bluhill Road and on Centerhill Street so as to require all traffic to stop at the intersection.  Install All Way Stop at the intersection of Bluhill Road and Centerhill Street, at the intersection of Dawson Avenue and Galt Avenue and at the intersection of Bluhill Road and Edwin Street.  Remove No Parking Any Time on the west side of Centerhill Road from Bluhill Road to a point 60' south, on the MCEO NO. 96-11:  DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - Designation of Parcels F, J, K, L, O and P in the Milestone Business Park in Germantown as a Strategic Economic Development Site.  Milestone Industrial, L.C. ("Milestone") is the owner of Parcels F, J, K, L, O and P in the Milestone Business Park in Germantown, Maryland as recorded on plats 21774, 22797 and 23731 in the Land Records of Montgomery County, Maryland (the "Property") located in the heart of the I-270 corridor.  The Property is strategically positioned to draw workers from down-County, consistent with the goals of the recently adopted Germantown Master Plan; and the Property has the development potential to become a major mixed-use walkable community with a well proportioned housing/jobs balance with convenient access to a transit stop along the Corridor Cities Transitway.  Milestone seeks to attract world class entrepreneurs and advanced technology companies to the Property in order to fulfill its long-term development potential.  Existing infrastructure can accommodate a significant amount of growth at the Property; and Expedited Bill No. 55-10 allows such strategic properties to apply certain impact tax credits to satisfy Policy Area Mobility Review obligations provided that they are first determined by the County Executive to be a strategic economic development project.  It is, therefore, ordered that the Milestone Business Park is hereby determined to be a strategic economic development project for the purpose of Section 52-55 of Expedited Bill No. 55-10.  Effective Date:  5/16/11

 

MCEO NO. 97-11:  OFFICES OF THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE - Employee Solicitation Waiver - authorizes the Director of the Office of Community Partnerships to designate employees assigned to that office to solicit gifts for the benefit of programs and services administered by that office, in accordance with the requirements established by this Executive Order.  Effective Date:  5/05/11

 

MCEO NO. 99-11:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Parkwood Drive Proposed Sidewalk (CIP #506747).  Order pursuant to Section 49-54 of the Montgomery County Code (2004) as amended, the County Executive hereby finds that public interest requires the construction of a sidewalk to provide safe pedestrian travel along the west side of Parkwood Drive from Franklin Street to Cedar Lane, located in Kensington, Maryland within Election District 7.  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project No. 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet wide and will conform to ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is 3400 linear feet.  Parkwood Drive is classified as a secondary residential roadway and has a 60 foot wide public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is approximately 28 feet wide.  There is approximately 16 feet of available public right-of-way along the west side of Parkwood Drive.  There will be a variable green space located between the new sidewalk and the curb and gutter.  Every effort will be made throughout the construction phase to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way and to the adjacent properties.  A Public Hearing was held before the County Executive (or his designee) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, in the Lobby Level Auditorium of the Executive Office Building located at 101 Monroe Street, in Rockville, Maryland. The public hearing record was re-opened for a two week period beginning February 1, 2010, to allow for submittal of additional comments into the official record. The Hearing Examiner recommended approval of the project.  Estimated cost of the proposed improvement and funding allocations thereof are as follows:  $93,485.00 construction costs and G.O. bonds, $N/A costs to be assessed for special benefit against applicable properties, $9,348.00 administrative and construction inspection costs and G.O. bonds, $102,833.00 total estimated cost of the project including engineering, site improvements and construction.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $102,833.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747. Effective Date:  5/16/11

 

MCEO NO. 100-11:  DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE - Replacement Liquidity Facility/Consolidated Public Improvement BANs 2006 Series A.  This order amends Order No. B277-06 issued by the County Executive of Montgomery County, Maryland as of June 7, 2006 (the Note Order).  Pursuant to Section 12 of Article 31 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended, certain laws of Montgomery County, Maryland (the County) and Resolution No. 15-1418 adopted by the County Council for the County on April 25, 2006, and the Note Order, the County issued its Consolidated Public Improvement Bond Anticipation Notes, 2006 Series A in the aggregate principal amount of $50,000,000 (the Notes).  This First Supplemental Order No. B310-11 is executed and delivered in accordance with Section 9.1(b) of the Note Order in connection with the delivery of an Alternate Liquidity Facility (as defined in the Note Order).  Effective Date:  5/16/11
