The Montgomery County Law Enforcement Gospel Choir held an anniversary concert at Mount Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring on September 26, 2004. Permission to raise donations was granted under Montgomery County Executive Order 156-04. The occasion was used as a fundraiser for Dorothy Day Place, a transitional housing facility for single, unaccompanied homeless women. The donations were collected at an offering during the anniversary program and are therefore from anonymous sources. A total of $2,040.09 was donated to the Dorothy Day Place during this concert.
