MCER NO. 19-04AM: ADOPTED OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES REGULATION - Amendments to Sections 1, 9, 10, 15, 16, 21, 30, and 32 of the Montgomery County Personnel Regulations SUMMARY: This regulation amends the Personnel Regulations to: add references to salary schedules for deputy sheriffs and deputy sheriff managers; require direct deposit of pay checks for some employees; provide for 12-hour shifts; change stand-by pay to the higher of 15 percent of salary or $4 per hour; provide court time compensation for certain employees; provide ASE incentive pay; allow an employee to transfer annual leave to a County-employee spouse for childcare use; allow an employee to receive administrative leave for an on-the-job injury until the employee's eligibility for Workers' Compensation benefits is decided; incorporate changes required by the Federal Transit Administration; and incorporate technical changes. ACTION: Executive Regulation 19-04AM, Amendments to Sections 1, 9, 10, 15, 16, 21, 30, 32 of the Montgomery County Personnel Regulations, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 1 process, effective July 12, 2005.

SUMMARY: This regulation establishes the procedures to govern the hearings of Fire and Rescue Commission appeals in accordance with Section 21-7 of the Montgomery County Code, 1994, as amended. This executive regulation supersedes Fire and Rescue Commission Interim Policy
ACTION: Executive Regulation 4-05AM, Procedures for Fire and Rescue Commission's Appeal Hearings, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective July 18, 2005.
