STORMWATER - DRAINAGE AND RUNOFF - Bill 26-05 requires builders of certain residential or accessory structures to submit a plan showing the location of certain drainage facilities; requires builders of certain residential structures to minimize effects of water runoff on other properties; requires a storm water plan to indicate how the development will minimize storm water runoff onto adjacent properties; and generally amends laws governing water drainage and runoff. Effective date: March 1, 2007. TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS - Bill 38-06 corrects technical, typographical, grammatical, and codification errors in, and makes stylistic, clarifying, and conforming amendments to various provisions of County Law. Effective date: January 24, 2007. CABLE COMMUNICATIONS - AMENDMENTS - Expedited Bill 40-06 assures that the cable communications law is consistent with federal and state law; clarifies the scope of the communications cable law; and generally amends the cable communications law. Effective date: October 25, 2006. CONSUMER PROTECTION - INTERNET ACCESS - Expedited Bill 41-06 prohibits certain merchants from engaging in unfair trade practices with respect to the provision of internet access; and generally amends the consumer protection law with respect to the provision of internet access. Effective date: October 25, 2006.
ETHICS - MONTGOMERY CARES PROGRAM - ADVISORY BOARD - Expedited Bill 43-06 exempts
FOREST CONSERVATION - PROTECTION OF CHAMPION TREES - Expedited Bill 45-06 applies the forest conservation law to certain champion trees. Effective date: October 26, 2006.
