LOCAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT TWO-YEAR PLAN Notice is hereby provided for public opportunity for comment on and input into the development of the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Act Two-Year Plan (FY2008-FY2009) under Public Law 105-220 - Workforce Investment Act, 20 CFR 652 - Workforce Investment Act; Interim Final Rule. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) requires that the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board submit a two-year local plan to the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) in accordance with Section 118 of the law and Section 661.345 of the regulations. Public comment and input will be accepted from April 16, 2007 thru May 15, 2007, prior to the final submission to the State of Maryland. Current local five-year plans are due to expire on June 30, 2007. To review or download a copy of the Draft Two-Year Plan, please visit http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/ded.
