MCER NO. 2-08: ADOPTED OFFICE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION REGULATION Maximum Rates For Motor Vehicle Towing From Private Property SUMMARY: This regulation revises the maximum rates that a trespass towing service may charge when towing a motor vehicle from private property without the consent of the owner. The adopted regulation supersedes Executive Regulation 4-03. ACTION: Executive Regulation 2-08, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective September 16, 2008. New Home Warranty and Builder Licensing SUMMARY: This regulation amends Executive Regulation 17-02 by increasing the fee for builder licenses. Executive Regulation 17-02 prescribes the form and coverage of the minimum warranty; governs procedures for the processing of claims under the warranty; establishes requirements for building licensing; details procedures governing the denial, revocation, and suspension of builders' licenses; and establishes requirements of private Alternate New Home Warranty Security Programs and of the County New Home Warranty Security Fund. This regulation defines advertisements which are subject to the property tax disclosure requirements of Section 40-12C. The adopted regulation supersedes 8-08T. ACTION: Executive Regulation 8-08, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective September 23, 2008. This regulation supersedes similar procedures currently specified in the Ten Year Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. ACTION: Executive Regulation 18-08, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective October 7, 2008.
