MCER NO. 25-07AM:  ADOPTED DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGULATION

Taxicab Motor Vehicle Model Year

SUMMARY:  This regulation establishes the policy for placing motor vehicles in service and removing vehicles from service as taxicabs.

ACTION:  Executive Regulation, 25-07AM, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective July 15, 2008.

MCER NO. 17-08AM:  ADOPTED DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGULATION

Development Impact Tax for Transportation Improvements

SUMMARY:  This regulation clarifies definitions and terms used in Section 52-47 through 52-59; describes the application process, including payment of taxes; describes the process for obtaining impact tax credits and refunds; assigns responsibility for interpreting Sections 52-47 through 52-59 in unusual cases or circumstances; and explains applicability to pending permit applications..  The adopted regulation supersedes 34-90.

ACTION:  Executive Regulation 17-08AM, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 process, effective July 29, 2008.

MCER NO. 22-08:  ADOPTED OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES REGULATION

Position Description for Special Projects Manager

                            Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

SUMMARY:  This regulation provided a position description for the non-merit position of Deputy Director for Special Projects, Department of Public Works and Transportation. This regulation changes the title and location of the position to Special Projects Manager, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer and provides a revised position description for this non-merit position. Montgomery County code Section 2-26(e) designates this position as a non-merit position. Under County code Section 1A-104(b)(2), a person holding a position in the Executive Branch designated by law as a non-merit position must be professionally qualified under a position description established by regulation under method (1).  The adopted regulation supersedes Executive regulation 8-07.

ACTION:  Executive Regulation, 22-08, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 1 process, effective July 22, 2008.

MCER NO. 23-08:  ADOPTED OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES REGULATION

Position Description for Deputy Director Department of Transportation

SUMMARY:  This regulation provided a position description for the non-merit position of Deputy Director, Department of Public Works and Transportation. This regulation changes the title of the position to Deputy Director, Department of Transportation.   Montgomery County Code Section 2-56 designates this position as a non-merit position. Under County Code Section 1A-104(b)(2), a person holding a position in the Executive Branch designated by law as a non-merit position must be professionally qualified under a position description established by regulation under method (1).  The adopted regulation supersedes Executive regulation -50-95

ACTION:  Executive Regulation, 23-08, was approved by the County Council according to the Method 1 process, effective July 22, 2008.
