MCER NO. 22-17:  ADOPTED DEPARTMENT OF POLICE REGULATION
Redemption Fees for Animals Impounded at Montgomery
                              County Animal Shelter
 
SUMMARY:  County law requires the owner of any animal which has been impounded at the County Animal Shelter to pay redemption fees, i.e. impoundment fee and daily board fee, before redeeming the animal.  This regulation increases the impoundment fee for the first offense and establishes a fee structure for each offense after the first.  The regulation also establishes a daily boarding fee based on the type and classification of animals impounded.  This regulation supersedes Executive Regulation 24-98.
 
ACTION:  Executive Regulation 22-17 was promulgated under the Method 3 review process and became effective November 6, 2018.
