Leases – Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
SUMMARY: This regulation establishes the minimum criteria for mandatory inclusion of a plain language summary in rental housing leases to comply with Section 29-27 (w) (Contents of lease) of the Montgomery County Code.

ACTION: Executive Regulation 8-17AM was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 review process, effective May 1, 2018.

Anti-Cruelty Conditions for Dogs and Other Pets
SUMMARY: This regulation interprets State anti-cruelty laws by regulating how dogs are to be transported in open bed vehicles, the conditions under which a dog may be tethered, and what constitutes adequate space and shelter or protection from weather for outdoor dogs, and protections for pets during weather emergency conditions. This regulation supersedes Executive Regulation 10-10AM.
ACTION: Executive Regulation 17-17 was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 review process, effective April 24, 2018.
