Transportation Services Improvement Fund Requirements
SUMMARY: This regulation establishes the procedure for disbursing monies from the Transportation Services Improvement Fund which are to be used to ensure the continued viability of accessible taxicab service throughout the County for persons with disabilities, eligible senior citizens, and persons of limited income. This regulation establishes: reimbursement programs to offset the increased cost of owning and operating accessible taxicabs; incentives programs for improving or expanding transportation options for persons with disabilities, eligible senior citizens, and persons of limited income; and rules and procedures for distributing monies to program participants. The proposed regulation would supersede Executive Regulation 1-17.
