MCER NO. 6-25: REPEALED MONTGOMERY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGULATION
Repeal of Executive Regulation 42-97, Taxicab Insurance
SUMMARY: Executive Regulation 42-97 is being repealed in its entirety. Information regarding the required insurance coverage rates to operate a taxicab in Montgomery County can now be found in the County Code, Chapter 53, Section 53-224.
ACTION: Executive Regulation 6-25 was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 review process, effective November 18, 2025.

Repeal of Executive Regulation 14-06, Taxicab Geographic Areas of Service
SUMMARY: Executive Regulation 14-06 is being repealed. In 2015, the Montgomery County Council repealed 53-110 – Customer Service Requirements. Executive Regulation 14-06 is a vestige of the repealed legislation.
ACTION: Executive Regulation 8-25 was approved by the County Council according to the Method 2 review process, effective November 18, 2025.
