Expect Respect

Expect Respect is a free 45-60 minute workshop for teens in middle and high school.

Workshop for 8th - 12th graders addresses:

• Aspects of a healthy, unhealthy and abusive relationship
• ​Types of dating violence
• Consent
• Warning signs for both the victim and the abuser
• How to help a friend who is the victim or the abuser
• Resources in Montgomery County

Workshop for 7th graders addresses:

• Aspects of healthy and unhealthy friendships and relationships
• ​Types of dating violence
• Focus on emotional abuse
• Social media and safety
• Scenarios for practice

Workshop for 6th graders addresses:

• Qualities of a good friend
• Bullying
• Bystander Intervention
• Scenarios for practice

The workshops are:

• For school classes or afterschool groups
• Approved by MCPS
• Available in English and Spanish
