Community Engagement provides the bridge through which government information meets with various communications amplification/distribution technologies. This includes cable television oversight, management and technical support, remote/onsite live streaming, website creation/content management, social media outreach, video production, podcast production/distribution, and other, often innovative, approaches to supporting government information efforts.

Thanks to the work of County Cable Montgomery – we were able to collaborate to create Home Energy Hacks for residents. These short, informative videos provide residents with quick and easy tips to lower energy use in their homes. As a direct result of these videos, more than 700 people have viewed the videos and taken action – we get email requests every week from people who want the energy saving measures we mention in the videos. Without the Office of Broadband Programs, none of this would have been possible! We are so grateful for the professionalism and collaborative nature of the office and look forward to partnering with them on future programming.
