Meet Dolors:
Dolors has been working for Montgomery County since August 2006, and with the Department of Recreation since May 2014. She has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in Social Gerontology from the University of Barcelona. Prior to joining the Department of Recreation, she worked at the Charles W. Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center (formerly Charles W. Gilchrist Center for Cultural Diversity) helping newcomers to the US become established into the County and connecting them with much needed services and programs, such as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Citizenship classes, Pro Bono Legal Services, Tax Preparation for low income families, and information and referral to many other programs. Prior to joining the County she worked for the Latin American Youth Center in Washington, DC.
Dolors immigrated to the US in 2003 from her native Catalonia. She is a Montgomery County resident and lives with her husband and two children in Olney.
