ABS Lottery Rules
Lottery for Montgomery County Residents, Maryland Residents and Licensees Open April 7-13.

Important dates:
- The lottery runs from April 7 at 12:01 p.m. until April 13, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
- Results will be posted on April 22, 2024.
- Products must be picked up from the Muddy Branch store between April 26-May 24.
If you are a lottery winner, please keep in mind the following:
- Bottles must be purchased at the location given to winners. All lottery winners must purchase and pick up their item no later than the close of business on the last day of the pick-up period, no exceptions.
- Anyone who has not purchased their bottle by the end of the pick-up period will lose their lottery slot/chance to purchase that lottery item.
- You must be 21 years old to qualify for the lottery and to purchase alcohol. You will need to show proof of age with a valid state or federal issued ID at the time of purchase.
- If you do not have a valid government-issued picture ID, or if any part of your ID does not match your lottery entry (picture, name, address, zip code, etc.), your bottle will be forfeited, no exceptions.
- There will be no proxy pick up.
- Lottery reserved to Montgomery County residents:
- You must be a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, and you must be able to prove residency with a valid driver’s license or other state-issued picture ID. Proof of Montgomery County residency is required.
- Current active duty military ID or spouse/dependent ID with proof of Montgomery County MD address (utility bill or bank statement only).
- You must be a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, and you must be able to prove residency with a valid driver’s license or other state-issued picture ID. Proof of Montgomery County residency is required.
- Lottery reserved to Maryland residents:
- You must be a resident of Maryland, and you must be able to prove residency with a valid driver’s license or other state-issued picture ID. Proof of Maryland residency is required.
- Current active duty military ID or spouse/dependent ID with proof of Maryland address (utility bill or bank statement only.
- You must be a resident of Maryland, and you must be able to prove residency with a valid driver’s license or other state-issued picture ID. Proof of Maryland residency is required.
- Lottery reserved to Montgomery County licensees:
- Only one registered licensee from each Montgomery County, MD on-premises, BWL alcohol license may enter for each business or license number. Duplicate entries will be disqualified (only the most recent entry will count). Licensee’s ID must match the alcohol license selected as the winner at pick up.
- The licensee's PIN will be required at the time of purchase.
- Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
- In the event of duplicate entries, only the most recent one only will be allowed.
- Each entrant will be allowed to rank their choices and is guaranteed an equal chance to win one of those items.
- Each entry will only be eligible to win one of their ranked choices in the drawing. In the event that an entrant has multiple winning entries, the entrant's first choice will take precedence overall, and the second choice will take precedence over the third choice, etc. Only one bottle will be available for purchase in any event, no exceptions.
- P.O. Boxes will not be accepted. Lottery entries with P.O. Boxes will be disqualified.
