The Montgomery County Council is the legislative branch of your local government. Their offices are in Rockville. Eleven Councilmembers are making decisions that directly impact you. They have big responsibilities such as:
- Approving the laws that shape our community.
- Deciding how to spend money on important services like libraries, public transportation and after-school programs.
- Planning how land is used, determining where houses, shops and other buildings can be built.

- Attending a meeting: Speak for 2-3 minutes during the public comment period, your story matters!

- Finding their office: Stop by or call to ask a question.
