Post Graduate Fellows Programs
Program Background
The Council is seeking three outstanding candidates with Master’s degree in policy-related programs (policy, public administration, planning, public health, law, etc.) who will graduate in spring 2023 or have graduated in the past 36-months. No experience required.
Fellows will work as part of the Council’s non-partisan central staff team, providing objective analysis of policies to the entire County Council. They will have the opportunity to work directly with other staff, Councilmembers, and staff in the Executive Branch and other agencies of County Government.
This is a one-year term position with the opportunity to renew for a second year based on performance and the Council’s needs. At the end of the Fellowship, Council staff will work with qualified Fellows to find full-time employment in Montgomery County Government.
2023-2024 Program Details
Fellows are full-time (40 hours/week) County government employees for a one-year term. Fellows will receive a competitive starting salary and full benefits. A telework schedule can be determined with your supervisor.
Dates of Fellowship: September 11, 2023 - September 11, 2024
Anticipated Starting Salary: $65,000 (non-negotiable)
