Lamberton Drive Traffic Safety Improvements
The Kemp Mill Civic Association (KMCA) had asked MCDOT to consider a roundabout (RAB) at the intersection of Lamberton Drive and North Belgrade Road. The concept sketch of the proposed improvements may be viewed at the link below. The concept for the RAB may be viewed at the link provided. KMCA has not taken a position on this plan and asked that MCDOT evaluate traffic safety at that intersection after the Interim Plan is implemented and determine if the RAB or other strategies would be appropriate.
MCDOT’s interim Traffic Safety Improvements plan along Lamberton Drive between Arcola Avenue and Lovejoy Street includes the addition of white edge lines, curb bump-outs, and monolithic islands. This interim plan may be viewed at the link below. The plan is anticipated for implementation during the summer of 2026.
