Lamberton Drive Traffic Safety Improvements
MCDOT is advancing the installation of a roundabout (RAB) at the intersection of Lamberton Drive and North Belgrade Road. The concept sketch of the proposed improvements may be viewed at the link below. The proposed project requires the acquisition of property outside the current rights of way, resulting in the anticipated construction beginning in fiscal year 2031, which begins in July 2030. In the interim, MCDOT has developed a Traffic Safety Improvements plan for Lamberton Drive between Arcola Avenue and Lovejoy Street. This traffic safety enhancement plan includes the addition of white edge lines, curb bump-outs, and monolithic islands. This interim plan may be viewed at the link below. Comments on the proposed improvements may be provided at [email protected] and will be accepted until December 1, 2025. If no comments are received, the plan is anticipated for implementation during the spring of 2026.
