Teen dating abuse is a pattern of physically, sexually, verbally, and/or emotionally abusive 
or controlling behavior in a dating relationship. One in three teens in the U.S. is a victim of  physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse.

Choose Respect Montgomery's mission is to promote respect in dating relationships   and to raise community awareness about the prevalence of teen dating violence.

HEALTHY TEEN DATING CONFERENCE

**The first 100 students who register AND come to the conference will get a CAVA gift card. 

When: April 7, 2019 from 12:30 - 4:30
Where: Richard Montgomery High School, Rockville, MD
For Who: Students, parents and youth-serving providers

  • Learn about healthy and unhealthy relationships. 
  • Get tips on how to help a friend.
  • Learn about the resources in the community.

PSA VIDEO CONTEST


**  ENTER THE CONTEST ** 
(Contest deadline: March 8, 2019)

  • Middle and High School Students can create a 60-second video about dating violence 
  • The top five videos win cash prizes or gift cards (1st prize gets $1,000!)
  • Winners will be announced at the Healthy Teen Dating Conference

EXPECT RESPECT PRESENTATIONS


  • Free 45-minute interactive presentations 
  • For school classes or afterschool groups
  • For youth ages 13 - 18
  • Approved by MCPS
  • Youth learn about dating violence, warning signs, and how to help a friend
  • Youth hear about the resources available to get help
  • Available in English and Spanish
