Therapeutic Recreation Camps

staff with two campers

Montgomery County Recreation has a variety of summer camps available for children and teens with disabilities ages 6-21. Therapeutic Recreation camps offer exciting, age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities including swimming, crafts, games, special theme weeks and field trips. Therapeutic Recreation camps offer a smaller, structured camp setting to better meet the needs of the campers.

One and two week sessions are available, including full day and half-day camps to complement MCPS Extended School Year (ESY) schedule. Camps are primarily in the Rockville core. Students in ESY can be bussed from summer school to camp. Parents must arrange ESY transportation through the homeroom teacher at the IEP meeting.
