Montgomery County Recreation offers several softball leagues. Softball leagues of varying age levels, for men, women and seniors, are available in the Fall and Spring.

Leagues Registration Information
Register
- Team Managers are encouraged to register online at www.activemontgomery.org, or a paper registration form can be mailed and/or delivered to: Montgomery County Recreation, Sports, 2425 Reedie Dr., 10th Floor, Wheaton, MD 20902 All checks must be made payable to: ActiveMontgomery
Rosters
- Manager must submit a completed roster.
- All player information with their required signatures must be listed on the team roster.
Playoffs
- Payoffs occur in the fall and the spring season. All teams qualify for the playoffs. These games are in addition to the regular game schedule.
Scheduling Requests
- Any scheduling considerations/requests must be made at the time of registration, but are not guaranteed. Games will not be changed after schedules have been completed.
Free Agents
- Individuals looking for a team are encouraged to register via ActiveMONTGOMERY as a free agent.
- Registering as a free agent automatically adds you to a free agent pool. Your contact information will be included in a weekly free agent report distributed to all team managers searching for players.
- Placement is not guaranteed. Team managers seeking additional players will contact you directly if interested.
Fees

- Forfeit Fee – Any team forfeiting two games will be dropped from the league unless they post a $100 forfeit fee for reinstatement.
Payment Plans
- Optional team payment plans are available when registering through ActiveMontgomery. The first half of the payment is due upon registration and the second half is due halfway through the season.
Refund Policy
- Please see the seasonal flyer for refund information. No refunds after the schedules are released or posted on the Recreation website.

Managers
Recreation is so thankful for the service of our volunteer League Managers who help ensure that our programs run smoothly. Their efforts make an incredible positive impact on the players that they work with.
As a Team Manager you'll be setting examples that will stick with players and spectators.
To make a positive influence I will:
- Conduct myself in a dignified manner relating to emotions, language, attitude and actions.
- At all times, act to protect the principle of fun, safety and development of all athletes.
- Demonstrate respect for the ability of opponents as well as for the judgment of umpires, officials and opposing coaches.
- Display control and professionalism at all times under any circumstance.
- Respect the rights and worth of every person, including opponents, other coaches, officials, administrators and spectators.
- Refrain from physical contact with athletes except where necessary for the development of the athletes' skill(s) or athletic ability.
- Be aware and understand the role and influence of a team manager as an educator, imparting knowledge of skill as well as proper personal aceademic, and social behavior.
- Be reasonable in my demands on athletes/ time, energy and enthusiasm.
- Agree to abide by all MCR rules and regulations.
