8th Successive CALEA Accreditation Assessment
PRESS RELEASE/PUBLIC NOTICE
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is scheduled for its 8th on-site assessment, as part of a continuing program to maintain recognized nationwide law enforcement accreditation standards.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. (CALEA), the program requires agencies to meet standards in four basic areas; policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees, service recipients and members of the community are invited to offer comments to CALEA at a public information session on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, starting at 6:00 p.m. The session will be conducted in the Executive Office Building Auditorium located at 101 Monroe Street, lobby level, Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland 20850.
Agency employees, service recipients and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 240-777-7077 on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.
Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to ten (10) minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with the Commission's standards.
