The Name the Montgomery County Pedestrian Zebra Contest has ended. Come back soon to find out the winning name!

Naming Contest

Meet the newest addition to the Montgomery County Pedestrian Safety Education team – our Pedestrian Safety Zebra! Our Zebra traveled from a distant land where everyone practices safe pedestrian and driving behavior. In our Zebra’s land, everyone waits for the walk signal before crossing the street, crosses at the crosswalk, and would never consider looking at their smartphone while walking or driving. We are so lucky to have this special Zebra assist Montgomery County in teaching everyone how to walk and drive safe. Sadly, our Zebra doesn’t have a name that can be pronounced by humans and needs your help to come up with a nickname. In exchange for a fabulous name, our Zebra is willing to award one winner a $100 VISA gift card! Entering to win is easy. Submit your contact information and zebra name below. Come back every day from October 9 th – November 10 th for even more chances to win.

The Prize

The winner will receive a $100 VISA gift card. Three runners up will receive a pedestrian safety swag pack.

A panel of judges will select the winning entry from among all eligible entries based on the following judging criteria.

Relevance: Is the Zebra name relevant to/descriptive or evoke the qualities and characteristics of pedestrian safety Zebra?

Creativity/Cleverness: How creative and clever is the Zebra name?

Memorable: Is the Zebra name something we just can’t stop thinking about?
