- The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) only provides service on County roads. To check if a road is county or state-maintained and to request service on state-maintained roads, visit this Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) page: Know Your Roads - MDOT (maryland.gov).
- To report a dangerous intersection or request traffic calming measures for your neighborhood, please visit MCDOT’s website on residential traffic calming and submit your request to [email protected].
- To suggest the placement of a speed camera, please visit the Montgomery County Police Department’s Automated Traffic Enforcement Unit (ATEU) website prior to submitting your request to [email protected].

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC)
- If you are experiencing a water or sewer emergency, you can report the emergency to WSSC by calling 301-206-4002, emailing [email protected], or using the WSSC mobile app.
- If your water service has been shut off, follow these steps to resume water service.
- If you received a larger-than-expected water bill, you can review the process and follow the steps to initiate a Bill Adjustment Request.
- To learn about ongoing construction and repair projects in your neighborhood, you can consult WSSC’s “In Your Neighborhood” Project Map.
Pepco
- For non-emergency residential electrical service, call 202-833-7500.
- To report a power outage or downed wire, visit Pepco’s Report an Outage page or call 1-877-737-2662.
- If Pepco determines a downed wire is NOT an electrical wire, use this Montgomery County Office of Broadband Programs (OBP) complaint form to determine if the downed wire is a cable wire and OBP will assist with a resolution.
Washington Gas
- To report gas leaks or other emergencies, call the Washington Gas Emergency Leak Line at 1-844-927-4427.
