Located within the South Germantown Recreational Park in Boyds, Germantown Indoor Swim Center is fully programmed daily and on weekends. Available activities include: lap swimming, recreational swimming, water fitness classes, swim lessons, scuba, swim team and dive team classes. Germantown Indoor Swim Center is completely handicapped accessible with ramps, elevators, ladders and lifts.

Our pools are a fun place to relax and have fun, accomplish a fitness goal or attend one of our many classes and programs.

Hours of Operation

Indoor pools are open for lap swimming only. Deep water running and water walking are not permitted at this time. Only one (1) person may use a lane at a time.

6 a.m.-9 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday
9 a.m.-5 p.m.

One-hour swim sessions will be held seven days a week between the following hours:

6–7 a.m.*

8–9 a.m.

10-11 a.m.

Noon-1 p.m.

2–3 p.m.

4–5 p.m.

6–7 p.m.*

8–9 p.m.*

*Sessions are available Monday-Friday only.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, indoor pools are open for lap swimming only. Pool features including crossing features, saunas and hot tubs will remain closed. Fitness rooms in aquatic centers will also remain closed.

Reservations Encougared, Not Required

While reservations are no longer required, they are encouraged as residents with reservations will have priority admission. The number of available walkup daily admission slots will depend on the number of reservations and pool capacity. 

A variety of passes are available including our Punch 12 Pass that is good for 12 daily admissions for the price of 10.

While we encourage you to purchase your pool pass online, if you prefer to purchase it in-person, please complete and bring this pool pass application to the pool.

COVID-19 Phase 2 Safety Procedures

  • Indoor aquatic centers are open for lap swimming only. Deep water running and water walking are not permitted at this time.
  • All patrons two years old and over must use a face covering while on the pool deck, in common areas, and when social distancing is not possible. Face coverings are not required when in the water.
  • Individuals and family groups are asked to stay together and maintain six feet of social distancing from other groups at all times.
  • Pool features including crossing features, saunas and hot tubs will remain closed.
  • Fitness rooms in aquatic centers will remain closed.
  • Shared equipment such as kickboards will not be available.
  • Restrooms in locker rooms will be available. We ask patrons to minimize their time in those areas by coming to the pool in their swim attire and showering at home. Marked alternate exits will be available for those who wish to avoid exiting through the locker room. Lockers will not be available for use. Patrons will have to take their belongings with them on the pool deck and place them in a chair assigned to the lap lane they are using.
