Nursing Home and Assisted Living Program election workers are trained to assist voters residing in Nursing Home and Assisted Living centers throughout the County with Voter Registration and the Mail-In Ballot process. Working as a team of different party affiliations, you will register voters, issue mail-in ballots to voters and provide assistance to voters when required. Full and part-day positions are available.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with accurately completing Voter Registration and Mail-In Ballot request form upon voter's requests
- Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs
- Complete all training (in-person)
- Work as a team to set up the voting area
- Complete all election documentation (chain of custody, ballot accounting, etc)
- Willing to rotate and assist with other duties as directd by the Board of Elections
- Able to speak clearly, listen well and be courteous to voters and fellow Election Workers
- Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Follow procedures, written or verbal instructions
- Read, write and speak the English language
Election Service Stipend:
Training Payment: $30.00
Full-day – $130.00
Part-day – $65.00
Election Service Hours:
Full-day – 8 hour shift, times vary
Part-day - 4 hour shift, times vary
