Voters may go to any early voting site in Montgomery County and cast a ballot. Early voting results are tallied on Election Night, just like votes cast on Election Day. If you vote early, you may not vote by mail or on Election Day.

Absentee Voting Deadlines

The deadline for receipt of a completed and signed absentee ballot application depends on how the voter wants to receive the blank ballot. Voters may  request an absentee ballot online from the State of Maryland's Election website or click here to download, print-out, and complete an absentee application.

For the 2020 Primary Election, your application must be received (not just mailed) by:
  • Tuesday, April 21, 2020, if you want to receive your ballot by mail or fax
  • Friday, April 24, 2020, if you want to download your ballot from the State’s website.
For the 2020 General Election, your application must be received (not just mailed) by:
  • Tuesday, October 27, 2020, if you want to receive your ballot by mail or fax
  • Friday, October 30, 2020, if you want to download your ballot from the State’s website
