In 2022, following the decennial census data release and redistricting, the Montgomery County Board of Elections introduced boundary changes to 76 precincts. At its September 18, 2023, meeting, the Montgomery County Board of Elections presented for public review Legal Descriptions of the 2022 Precinct Boundary Changes.
Public comments may be submitted by October 2, 2023, to elections@montgomerycountymd.gov.
State law provides that interested individuals and organizations may sign up to be notified about Board of Elections meetings at which proposed polling place changes will be discussed, and may testify upon request. If you wish to receive these notices, please sign-up here.

Deadline to register to vote OR update name, address, and/or party affiliation:
- 2024 Primary Election: Tuesday, April 23, 2024 (5:00 pm in person and 11:59 pm online)
- 2024 General Election: Tuesday October 15, 2024 (5:00 pm in person, 11:59 pm online)
All registered voters are required to keep their voter registration information current.
To participate in a party’s primary election, you must be affiliated with the party.
You can update your name, address and/or party affiliation:
- Online (online option requires a Maryland issued Driving License or ID)
- By completing and returning to us a form available at Voter Registration Forms
- By visiting Montgomery County Board of Elections

General Election - October 24, 2024 - October 31, 2024
Voters may go to any early voting site in Montgomery County and cast a ballot. Early voting results are tallied on Election Night, just like votes cast on Election Day. If you vote early, you may not vote by mail or on Election Day.
