September 23 is National Voter Registration Day 2014
As part of a massive 50-state effort to register thousands of voters before Election Day, November 4, 2014, volunteers from the Multicultural Outreach Committee and Future Vote Program of the Montgomery County Board of Elections will conduct voter registration drives on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. during September at local public libraries according to the following schedule:
Wednesday, September 17:
Staff of the Montgomery County Board of Elections will be at the National Institutes of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 20:

The goal for the 2014 National Voter Registration Day is to increase participation by encouraging Americans to register to vote and come to the polls this fall. Montgomery County Board of Elections’ President Mary Ann Keeffe encourages all US Citizens who are Montgomery County residents to register to vote and ask your family and friends to register and vote. As a non-partisan unofficial national holiday, National Voter Registration Day counts on thousands of partners and volunteers across the political spectrum. Started in 2012 for the presidential election, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right—the right to vote.
