Montgomery  County Council  to Recognize Election Judges

The Montgomery County Council is scheduled to recognize Election Judges on Tuesday,                                 October 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Stella B Warner County Council Office Building in Rockville.

Election Judges are registered Maryland voters who assist at polling places on Election Day. More than 3,000 Election Judges were recruited and trained by the Montgomery County Board of Elections to work at polling places during the November 2012 presidential election.

Board President Mary Ann Keeffe stated:  “Our county election judges are an invaluable resource to the operation of successful elections and we are fortunate to have so many dedicated citizens willing to serve in this important work.  Both the Board and staff at the Montgomery County Board of Elections are grateful for the County Council’s recognition of the outstanding contribution made by our election judges.”
