Therapeutic Recreation 

The Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services Team is committed to providing engaging, inclusive and accessible recreational experiences for individuals of all abilities. Our aim is to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for residents of Montgomery County, regardless of ability.

We offer a variety of recreation, leisure skills and personal development activities for individuals with disabilities through adaptive programs and inclusive (mainstreaming) opportunities.  Our Therapeutic Recreation programs are designed to help individuals build confidence, have fun and make a positive impact in their lives.

Recreation without Barriers

Our Therapeutic Recreation programs are tailored specifically for individuals with disabilities of all ages. We offer a wide range of classes, including adapted swim lessons, art, dance, fitness, sports, and more! We also host social activities, special events, and family-friendly events for all ages. Finally we offer therapeutic recreation camps for youth and teens ages 6-21.

Our Inclusion Services provide accommodations in any Montgomery County Recreation program to ensure individuals with disabilities can participate in any activity or program they choose. We offer a range of accommodations to help you find the perfect fit!
