Early Voting Banner


2018 Early Voting Centers 

Voters may go to any early voting site in Montgomery County and cast a ballot. Early voting results are tallied on Election Night, just like votes cast on Election Day. If you vote early, you may not vote by mail or on Election Day.

  • Primary Early Voting Dates: Thursday, June 14, 2018, 10:00am - 8:00pm to Thursday, June 21, 2018,  10:00am - 8:00pm
  • General Early Voting Dates: Thursday, October 25, 2018, 10:00am - 8:00pm to Thursday, November 1, 2018,  10:00am - 8:00pm

Actions Taken by Board

May 21, 2018:  The Board voted to have staff contact the Post Office to determine if it was possible to hold the sample ballot mailing until the Maryland State Board of Elections provides further information regarding the Maryland Governor's contest.  The Board also voted to return Precinct 04-30 to St. Elizabeth Catholic School for the 2018 Gubernatorial General Election pending approval by the Maryland State Board of Elections.

April 16, 2018:  The Board voted to move Precinct 04-30 from Richard Montgomery HS to B'nai Israel Congregation for the 2018 Gubernatorial Elections pending approval by the Maryland State Board of Elections.

April 11, 2018:  The Board voted to move Precinct 04-18 from Tilden Center to Tilden Middle School.

March 19, 2018:  The Board 
did not adopt any changes in administrative policy.

February 26, 2018:  The Board approved a budget reallocation to increase the advertising budget by $8,220 for a total of $28,256.  The Board then approved the following advertising budget for the Gubernatorial Primary Election:

The Board also approved a polling place change for Precinct 04-30 from St. Elizabeth Catholic Church to Richard Montgomery HS and confirmed that the polling place for Precinct 13-46 will remain at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center.

January 22, 2018:  There were no actions taken by the Board; action was deferred on polling place changes and advertising allocation until February to allow for additional review.  The Board did express interest in moving Precinct 13-46 from Bauer Drive Community Center to English Manor MCPS Administrative Building; staff was requested to obtain additional information from the Montgomery County Public School System prior to a formal decision being made.

November 20, 2017:  The Board approved new legal descriptions for Precincts 13-67 and 13-68.  In addition, the Board approved the following polling place changes for the 2018 Gubernatorial Elections.

  1. Precinct 02-06:  from Clarksburg HS to Hallie Wells MS
  2. Precinct 02-08:  from Clarksburg ES to Clarksburg HS
  3. Precincts 09-09/12-04:  from Lois P Rockwell ES to Cedar Grove ES
  4. Precinct 04-01:  from Maryvale ES to Rockville HS
  5. Precinct 04-17:  from Luxmanor ES to Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center
  6. Precincts 04-27/04-38:  from Meadow Hall ES to Twinbrook Recreation Center
  7. Precinct 05-05:  from Springbrook HS to Burnt Mills ES
  8. Precinct 05-15:  from Cloverly ES to St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Center
  9. Precinct 06-08:  from Stone Mill ES to Nancy Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center
  10. Precinct 07-19:  from North Bethesda MS to Wyngate ES
  11. Precinct 07-20:  from Ashburton ES to Davis Library
  12. Precinct 08-01:  from Olney ES to St. Peter's Parish
  13. Precinct 08-10:  from Olney Swim Center to William H. Farquhar MS
  14. Precinct 09-03:  from Thurgood Marshall ES to Brown Station ES
  15. Precinct 09-09:  from Whetstone ES to Covenant United Methodist Church
  16. Precinct 09-40:  from The Retreat at Crown West to Izaak Walton League of America
  17. Precinct 10-02:  from Potomac ES to Potomac Presbyterian Church

October 16, 2017:  The Board selected the following locations to serve as Early Voting Centers for the 2018 Gubernatorial Elections.  These locations will be forwarded to the Maryland State Board of Elections for final approval.
