MCDOT  Green Services

MCDOT’s mission is to move people and connect places– whether by transit, walking, biking, carpooling or driving. And our goal is to provide these services in a way that reduces the County’s environmental footprint.

Green Government Report on Sustainability

MCDOT recognizes that the County's expanding transportation system has far-reaching impacts. The way our streets are planned, the range of available transportation options, and the way projects are constructed and maintained influence our environment.

Montgomery County’s Department of General Services has released the fiscal year 2019 Montgomery County Green Government Report that highlights MCDOT’s sustainable efforts, including enhancing bicycle mobility, bus commuting and smart parking in County garages.

Green Events:

The annual  GreenFest  event was held at Blackrock Center for the Arts in Germantown on Saturday, April 27 where residents had a chance to visit the MCDOT booth to  learn what the department is doing to create an even more progressive, sustainable transportation system.
