The Greeter’s (GRT-A/B) role is to direct voters to the correct polling precinct in the building.   Note: Only a limited number of Greeter positions are available per election; contact your recruiter for more information.

Responsibilities:

  • While stationed at the main entrance of the assigned precinct, direct voters to the correct polling room
  • Provide general information to voters on procedures, the voting process and anticipated wait times
  • Encourage voters to review their sample ballot in preparation for voting

Requirements:
  • Complete all required training
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable talking to people
  • Clear speech, strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
  • Attend a pre-election meeting/set-up at the assigned polling place the evening prior to election day
  • Minimum age - 18 years


Election Day Payment:          $50.00 per shift         Training Payment:                 $10.00

Election Day Hours:              GRT-A   6:00 am – 3:00 pm
                                                 GRT-B  2:30 pm – 9:00 pm
