The Greeters (GRT) ares tationed at the main entrance of the polling place, directs voters to the polling room and provides other site-specific information. Note: Only a limited number of Greeter positions are available per election; contact your recruiter for more information.

Responsibilities:

  • While stationed at the main entrance of the assigned polling place, direct voters to the correct polling room
  • Provide general information to voters on the voting process and anticipated wait times
  • Encourage voters to review their sample ballot in preparation for voting
  • Assist with line management
  • Communicate any issues to the Chief Judges
Requirements:
  • Minimum age - 18 years
  • Complete all required training
  • Attend the mandatory pre-election set-up meeting at the assigned polling place the evening prior to Election Day and work as a team to set up the polling place. The standard meeting time is 6:30 pm, but may be adjusted if necessary
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable talking to people
  • Clear speech, strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
Service Hours and Service Stipend (payment):
  • This is a full-day position
  • Pre-Election Set-up Hours: 6:30 pm until completion of set-up (approximately 9:30 pm
  • Election Day Service Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm/li>
  • Election Day Payment: $250.00 Training Payment: $50.00

Note: Election Workers who served as Election Judges (poll workers) in the 2024 election cycle will receive a returning service bonus for Election Judge service during the 2026 election cycle. Election Judges will receive a $100.00 bonus for each full day served on Election Day or during Early Voting or a $50.00 bonus for each part day served on Election Day or during Early Voting
