Same Day Registration judges (SDR) are responsible for registering and processing new voters.  Located at or near the check-in station, the SDR may assist with checking in regular voters, but does not rotate to work any other station. 


Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process same day registrants
  • Assist with check-in for regular voters
  • Safeguard voted and unvoted provisional ballots
  • Work as a team to close the polling precinct and prepare the materials and documentation to be returned to the Board of Elections
  • Assist as directed by the Chief Judges

Requirements:
  • Complete all required training
  • Attend the mandatory pre-election meeting/set-up at the assigned polling precinct the evening prior to election day
  • Able to speak clearly, listen well and to be friendly and welcoming
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to follow procedures and written and verbal instructions
  • Minimum age - 18 years



Election Day Payment:          $180.00                      Training Payment:     $30.00

Election Day Hours:              6:00 am – to closing (approximately 11:00 pm)
