Retiree Health Insurance

RETIRED EMPLOYEES:   If you have benefits questions outside of the virtual session above, you can get help in the following ways:

  • Virtual Appointments: The OHR Health Insurance Team hosts virtual office hours via Zoom on the first Thursday of every month from 3 to 4 pm for retirees and their dependents. You need to register in advance for each session you would like to attend. Register to attend a Zoom meeting here. After you register, you will receive an email with a link to join the meeting. These virtual meetings are in a public forum. If you need assistance with a private matter, you will be moved to a breakout room for a private discussion with a Health Insurance Team member.
  • Online: Explore the many resources available on this webpage or chat with Scout, OHR's AI Chat Assistant. Scout is available 24/7 and can even help you place a service request for follow-up from a Health Insurance Specialist. 
  • Phone: Contact the OHR Customer Service Team at 240-777-5000 from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
  • In-person: Visit the Health Insurance Team in the Executive Office Building (101 Monroe Street, 7th floor) from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.


If you want to make changes to your health insurance elections, use the online Retiree Election Form below under "Quick Links." In most cases, you will need to provide required documentation, so please read the cover page instructions carefully.  Retirees can make changes to health insurance elections at any time. Elections must be submitted by the 10th of the month for an effective date of the first of the following month.
