Forest Knolls Elementary School Safe Routes to School Project

 

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) conducted a virtual public meeting on October 11, 2023, to present findings from our Safe Routes to School Walkability Study for the Forest Knolls Elementary School community. Short term safety improvements identified in the Walkability Study have been implemented, and longer-term improvements have been identified and concept designs are in development. A Community Meeting took place on February 21, 2024, to present these designs and safety improvements and discuss with residents.   
 
For the proposed sidewalk along Ladson, Edgewood and Marvin Road, a public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 7:00pm

Public Hearing
The Public Hearing for the Forest Knolls Elementary School SRTS proposed sidewalk construction  will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The hearing will be broadcast over the internet via Zoom.
