Orientation and Training for Organizations
MCPS SSL Orientation:
New organizations and new staff with existing organizations are invited to join us for our monthly overview of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Student Service Learning (SSL) guidelines and Montgomery County Voulunteer Center (MCVC) website tools. MCPS requires attendance after initial Volunteer Center registration and every three years thereafter for SSL recertification.
Organizations that engage high school or middle school students as volunteers will learn about the MCPS SSL program and requirements for community organizations that wish to appear on our website as meeting MCPS SSL guidelines. You'll also get an introduction/refresher on using the online database and hints on ways to maximize volunteer recruitment. See Handouts.
Refer to the Quick Start Guide for Organizations to ensure that you are designated as an Organization Manager before the orientation session.
